About the program

Students learn to integrate knowledge across disciplines in order to gain a larger picture of what’s going on in the world.

Critical thinking, writing, research, and other professional skills are built and refined along the way. This is also a great pathway for students who are exploring their options for further postsecondary education.

Career Opportunities

The Liberal Arts program from St. Clair College provides students with a pathway to university studies in the Arts and Social Sciences or advanced college programs. Unlike most college programs, this unique program does not prepare students for one specific job.

Graduates have the knowledge and skills to communicate effectively in a professional environment, and to understand and utilize critical thinking processes and problem solving techniques.

Students can also draw on a greater understanding of individuals, cultures, and political systems – attributes that are useful in any field of employment they may choose.
